DMCA & Content Takedown Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Overview

AppScreens archives publicly available app store screenshots for marketing research, app store optimization (ASO), and design inspiration. Screenshots remain the property of their respective app developers and publishers — AppScreens does not claim ownership of third-party content.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you are a rights holder (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe content on AppScreens infringes your copyright, you can request its removal using the process below.

2. How to File a Takedown Request

Email [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request". To help us process your request quickly, please include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed (e.g. the app name and the original screenshots or marketing assets)
  • The URL(s) on appscreens.store where the allegedly infringing content appears
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

3. What Happens Next

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days. If the notice is valid and complete, we will promptly remove or disable access to the identified content and confirm the removal with you. If information is missing, we will let you know what is needed.

App developers who simply prefer their app not be featured on AppScreens can also use the same email address — a formal DMCA notice is not required for us to consider a removal request.

4. Counter-Notices

If your content was removed in response to a takedown notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same email address including the removed material's prior location, your contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was erroneous, and your signature. We will review counter-notices and may restore content where appropriate.
