Format rules that reject uploads
- File type: PNG or JPEG, RGB color space, no transparency (flatten any alpha channel).
- Count: 1–10 screenshots per device size per locale on the App Store; 2–8 on Google Play.
- Exact dimensions: App Store uploads must match one of the accepted resolutions exactly — a 1319×2868 file is rejected.
- Content: screenshots must show the app itself; device frames and marketing captions are allowed around or over real UI.

Google Play is looser than Apple: each screenshot must be between 320px and 3840px on its longest side, with an aspect ratio no more extreme than 2:1, in 24-bit PNG or JPEG. For phones, plan on 1080×1920 or higher — Google requires at least 4 screenshots at 1080px+ for promotional placements like the Games and Apps home surfaces.

The primary iPhone size is 6.9-inch: 1320×2868 pixels portrait (iPhone 16 Pro Max class). Apple scales it down for smaller devices if you provide only that size.
